invoices and tax.
v1.2 · updated 7 november 2026
1. Ticketway's tax details
Ticketway Entertainment Private Limited, a private limited company with its registered office in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is registered for GST in Maharashtra, and as an electronic commerce operator for tax collection at source in each State and Union Territory where it is required to be. Its GSTIN, PAN and CIN are printed on every invoice it issues.
2. The amounts in a Booking
| Amount | Supplier | GST | Invoiced by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ticket Price | The Host (admission to its event, activity or facility) | The Host's GST, if any, is included in the Ticket Price | The Host |
| Convenience Fee (on top of the Ticket Price, where the Listing has one) | Ticketway, for its own service to you | 18%, added to the fee | Ticketway, to you |
3. Convenience Fee invoices
3.1 For every Booking that includes a Convenience Fee, Ticketway issues a tax invoice in your name for the Convenience Fee. It states Ticketway's name, address and GSTIN; a consecutive invoice number unique for the financial year; the date; your name and State; the description of the service and its service accounting code; the fee; the rate and amount of CGST and SGST, or of IGST; the place of supply; and the total. The invoice is available on the Booking in the guest app.
3.2 Place of supply. The place of supply is the State or Union Territory where the Listing takes place. CGST and SGST apply where that is Maharashtra; IGST applies elsewhere.
3.3 Registered guests. A GST-registered guest may enter its GSTIN and legal name before paying, to receive a tax invoice in that name on which it may claim input tax credit, subject to the law.
3.4 Refunds. Where a Convenience Fee is refunded wholly or in part, Ticketway issues a credit note against the invoice.
4. Ticket invoices
4.1 Ticketway does not issue invoices for Ticket Prices, which are the Host's supply. A guest who needs one should request it from the Host. Ticketway will pass the request to the Host on the guest's behalf.
5. Other taxes
5.1 Where a State or local entertainment tax is measured on the Convenience Fee, Ticketway pays the part of it that the Convenience Fee bears. Any such tax on the Ticket Price is the Host's.
6. Records and requests
6.1 Ticketway retains invoices, credit notes and tax records for 8 years after the end of the financial year to which they relate.
6.2 To ask for a copy or correction of an invoice, write from You → Help or to tax@ticketway.in.
