staff terms.
v1.1 · updated 7 november 2026
1. Your position
1.1 These terms are between you and Ticketway Entertainment Private Limited ("Ticketway"). You use Ticketway HQ for the organiser that added you to its team (the "organiser").
1.2 You use Ticketway HQ as the organiser's owner, partner, director, employee, volunteer or contractor, or as someone who works with it, such as its venue. You are not Ticketway's employee, agent, contractor, gig worker or platform worker. Ticketway does not find, offer or allocate work to you, set your hours, rate you or pay you, and you do not use Ticketway to find work. Nothing in these terms creates any such relationship. The rules below are conditions for using Ticketway HQ, not directions about how you do your work.
1.3 The organiser decides your role, the listings you may access, and when your access ends. Your pay, hours, safety and all other terms of your work are between you and the organiser.
1.4 You must be at least 18 years old to use Ticketway HQ.
2. Access
2.1 Your own credentials. You must sign in with your own mobile number. You must not share your sign-in, one-time codes or a signed-in device with anyone, or use anyone else's.
2.2 Sessions. Your sign-in is bound to one device. Keep the device locked and with you, and sign out when you stop working for the organiser.
2.3 Permitted use. You may use Ticketway HQ only for the organiser's work, on the listings you have been given, and only while you are on the organiser's team.
2.4 End of access. When the organiser removes you, or you stop working for the organiser, you must stop using Ticketway HQ for it. Your access ends when you are removed.
2.5 Loss or misuse. You must immediately inform the organiser's owner or a manager, and Ticketway (Ticketway HQ → Help, or support@ticketway.in), if your device is lost or you believe your access has been misused.
3. At the gate
3.1 Letting people in. Admit guests only as Ticketway HQ shows: a green result; a photo identification match where the scanner asks for one; or, for an activity, a tick on the guest list for a guest who is present and gives the booking's name. Only an owner or manager may admit a guest whose ticket the scanner does not accept. Every admission is logged in the name of the person who made it.
3.2 Finding a guest by phone. You may look a guest up only while the guest is present and wants to be admitted. A code is sent to the guest's phone; you must ask the guest for it. Checking photo identification instead is reserved to owners and managers. Every look-up is logged with your name, and look-ups are limited in number.
3.3 Offline sales. You must confirm that payment has been received only when you have actually received it (cash in hand, or the UPI or bank transfer shown as received). You must sell at the ticket's price; only owners and managers may sell at another price. Record the price and payment method the buyer actually paid. You must enter the buyer's mobile number accurately, because the ticket is issued to it.
3.3A Box office. Choose Box office only when every person on the sale is in front of you and goes in now. Otherwise choose Offline, and the ticket is scanned later.
3.4 Cash. Cash you collect belongs to the organiser. Keep it secure and hand it over as the organiser directs. Ticketway does not track cash between you and the organiser.
4. Guests' details
4.1 You may see guests' names, mobile numbers and tickets in the course of your work. You may use them only to admit guests and to assist them at the listing.
4.2 You must not copy, photograph, screenshot, record, save, forward or export any guest's details, except sending a guest their own ticket from Ticketway HQ or, for an owner or manager, downloading a report from Ticketway HQ for the organiser's work and keeping it secure. You must not contact a guest for any other purpose, personal or commercial; look up any person without a reason under clause 3; combine guests' details from different organisers; or disclose any guest's details to anyone outside the team's work.
4.3 Your obligations under this clause continue after your access ends.
5. Prohibited acts
5.1 You must not:
- (a) admit any person without a valid ticket, or in return for money or any favour;
- (b) record an offline sale before receiving the money, record a price or payment method other than the one paid, or keep for yourself money collected for the organiser;
- (c) record any false sale, refund, override, check-in, reschedule, box office let-in or guest list tick;
- (d) attempt to circumvent any limit, permission or log in Ticketway HQ, or access anything you have not been given;
- (e) copy, reverse-engineer or interfere with Ticketway HQ or the scanner; or
- (f) harass, abuse or discriminate against any guest, team member or member of Ticketway's staff.
5.2 Any of these may be an offence, including cheating and criminal breach of trust under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and unauthorised access to a computer resource and disclosure of information in breach of a lawful contract under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
6. Records Ticketway keeps
6.1 Ticketway records what you do in Ticketway HQ, with your name, mobile number, device and the time, including: sign-ins; scans and their results; overrides; look-ups; photo identification checks; box office let-ins; guest list ticks; offline sales, their price and the payment method; refunds; reschedules; downloads; and changes. These records cannot be edited or deleted. The organiser's owners and managers can see them.
6.2 Ticketway uses these records to operate Ticketway HQ, to show the organiser what happened, to prevent and investigate fraud and misuse, to resolve disputes and chargebacks, and to comply with the law. It may disclose them to the organiser, and to authorities where the law requires. The Privacy Policy states how long they are kept and your rights.
7. Breach
7.1 If you breach these terms, Ticketway may suspend or end your access as a member of any organiser's team, after telling you why and considering your reply, unless it must act at once to protect guests or money, and may inform the organiser of the reason. This does not affect an organiser Account you own, which the Organiser Agreement governs.
7.2 Ticketway may report a suspected offence to the police and provide the records described in clause 6.
7.3 You are liable to Ticketway for loss you cause by fraud, or by a deliberate breach of clause 4 or 5. The organiser is also liable to Ticketway for your acts and omissions.
8. Ticketway's liability
8.1 Ticketway HQ is provided as it is and as available. Ticketway is not liable to you for any loss arising from your use of Ticketway HQ, from any decision of the organiser, or from anything that happens at a listing, except to the extent the law does not allow that liability to be excluded.
9. General
9.1 Ticketway may change these terms, and will ask you to accept the changed version in Ticketway HQ. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
