2. Events
2.1 Change of mind. A confirmed Booking cannot be cancelled for a refund because you cannot attend or no longer wish to. Where the Host allows it, you may send the Ticket to another person instead.
2.2 Cancellation by the Host. If the Host cancels an event, every Ticket is refunded in full, whether or not it was scanned, including the Convenience Fee and the GST on it. No request is needed.
2.3 Date change. A Host may move an event only to a later date and time, and only with Ticketway's approval. Your Ticket is valid on the new date. If you bought online, you may refund it in the app at any time within 7 days after the move, but not after the new start time, even if the Ticket was sold as non-refundable. The refund is the price of the Tickets you refund and the same share of the Convenience Fee and its GST.
2.4 Refund by the Host. A Host may refund all or some Tickets in your Booking until the event has been settled to the Host. You receive the price of the refunded Tickets and the same share of the Convenience Fee and its GST.
2.5 Listing not as described. If the venue, the date, a headline performer named on the Listing, or what a Ticket includes changes materially, contact the Host or us within the time in clause 2.7. If the Host does not resolve your complaint before it is paid, Ticketway decides it on the evidence from you and the Host and, if it is upheld, refunds you on the Host's behalf. If the event did not take place, Ticketway refunds you in full even after the Host has been paid. This does not limit your rights under consumer protection law.
2.6 After entry; refused entry. A Ticket that has been scanned is refunded only if the event is cancelled or under clause 2.5. If you are refused entry or removed because you did not comply with the Listing's published rules or the law (for example, the age rule, identification or behaviour), you are not entitled to a refund.
2.7 Time to ask. Ticketway refunds through the app until it pays the Host for the event, which is never earlier than 24 hours after the event ends. Ask within 24 hours after the event ends: a request made by then is decided before the Host is paid. After the Host has been paid, Ticketway refunds only where the event did not take place; any other claim is against the Host, and your rights under consumer protection law are not affected.
3. Activities and bookings by the hour
3.1 Change of mind and late arrival. You cannot cancel a slot or an hourly booking yourself. You are not entitled to a refund if you arrive after your Ticket has stopped being valid or do not attend.
3.2 Slot or day called off. If the Host calls off a slot or a day, every Booking for it is refunded in full, even if already checked in.
3.3 Closure during an hourly booking. If the Host closes during your booking (for example, because of rain or a power failure), every hour that had not started is refunded in full. The hour in progress counts as played.
3.4 Refund by the Host. A Host may refund a slot booking until the slot ends, and an hourly booking until its first hour starts, for Tickets nobody has come in on.
3.5 Moved by the Host. If the Host moves your Booking to another time of the same activity and the new time does not suit you, tell the Host or us before the new slot starts and you will be refunded in full. Moving a Booking yourself, where the Listing allows it, does not make it refundable.
3.6 Time to ask. Ask the Host before your slot ends, or before your hourly booking starts. After that, Ticketway refunds only where the slot or booking did not take place. Where the Listing allows, you may reschedule instead (Activity and Court Booking Terms, clause 2.4).
3.7 The Activity and Court Booking Terms apply in addition.
4. How refunds are paid
4.1 To the original payment instrument. Online refunds are paid only to the UPI ID, card or bank account used for the Booking, including where the Ticket was later sent to another person. They cannot be paid to any other account or in cash.
4.2 Timing. Ticketway initiates a refund within 1 Business Day after it becomes due. The bank or card issuer then credits it, usually within 5 to 7 Business Days for cards and net banking, and sooner for UPI. If a refund has not reached you 10 Business Days after we initiated it, contact us with your booking reference, and we will give you the bank reference and follow it up. "Business Day" means a day other than a Sunday or a public holiday on which banks are open in Mumbai.
4.3 Offline Bookings. If you paid the Host's team in cash, by UPI or by bank transfer at the venue, the Host refunds you directly, by the same method.
4.4 Partial refunds. Where some Tickets in a Booking are refunded, the Convenience Fee and its GST are refunded in the same proportion. When every Ticket in a Booking has been refunded, you will have received exactly what you paid.
4.5 Failed payments. If you were charged but your Booking was not confirmed, the amount is reversed automatically within the time set by the Reserve Bank of India for failed transactions, without any request from you.
4.6 Refunded Tickets stop working immediately and may be offered for sale again.
5. Who bears refunds
5.1 Hosts bear the cost of every refund of their Tickets. A refund made after the Host has been paid is recovered from the Host.
5.2 Ticketway refunds the Convenience Fee as set out above and charges guests no cancellation fee.
6. Cancellation by Ticketway
6.1 Ticketway may cancel a Booking and refund it in full where the price or material details shown were obviously wrong, or where we must stop a Listing for legal or safety reasons.
6.2 Where Ticketway cancels a Booking because it was made by automated means, with another person's identity, account or payment instrument, beyond our limits, or for resale in breach of the Terms of Use, we refund the Ticket Price to the payment instrument used and keep the Convenience Fee and its GST.
7. Chargebacks
7.1 Contact us before raising a chargeback. If you raise one for a Booking on which anyone was admitted, or that we have refunded, we contest it with the booking, device and admission records, and may suspend your account and refuse new Bookings until it is withdrawn or decided. If it is decided for us or withdrawn, you must repay any amount reversed and the chargeback fee charged to us.
